History of ISEA

October 26th

Institute for Social and Economic Analyses (ISEA) was created in 2002 as a think-tank focusing on providing expert support to key reforms. ISEA is a voluntary, independent, non-profit association of citizens, founded according to the act No. 83/1990 Col. on civil associations, as amended.

It is a legal person according to the Czech law. It has no political or religious goals. By the focus of its activities it is a think-tank type institute carrying out research and policy analysis, which can be perceived as flexible, network structure between research, education and non-governmental sector.

ISEA is financially and institutionally independent from the state and distinct interest groups. Independence provides certain “bridge” between the academic sphere and politics, platform for the cultivation of public debate about the key issues of our times and for expert-based articulation of public interest. Since its foundation ISEA has covered a number of social-economic areas by its research projects, publications and conferences: education system, competitiveness, public finance, pension system, questions of wage and income differentiation, tax aspects of research and development, functioning of the political system, as well as the problem of corruption. Main strengths of ISEA include the ability to identify areas before they become real social problem and approach them multi-disciplinary position. The criterion for success of projects is achieving consensus among professionals and politicians in questions related to the implementation of reforms.

Since 2002 when ISEA officially switched from informal project-based activities to Czech social scientific research most of projects were connected with the education system, in particular with the reform of the higher education and student financial aid, with reform of research and development, as well as with auxiliary projects in this area, such as new interpretations and amendments to tax laws, thanks to which scientific and researchers have better conditions for drawing resources for their projects from funds of European Union.

Thanks alot : ) for your post. I would like to write my opinion that the tariff of car insurance varies from one insurance policy to another, simply because there are so many different facets which contribute to the overall cost. By way of example, the brand name of the motor vehicle will have a significant bearing on the purchase price. A reliable ancient family auto will have a more affordable premium compared to a flashy racecar.

I'm really enjoying the design and layout of your site. It's a very easy on the eyes which makes it much more enjoyable for me to come here and visit more often. Did you hire out a developer to create your theme? Great work!
